This Is My Bike and the Molenbeek connection

While This Is My Bike is a personal initiative, it has a base. I can be found in and about Molenbeek, Brussels, Belgium. My neighbourhood is in the public eye recently as its connection to the Paris terrorist attack that killed over 130 people. The sole terrorist on the run apparently fled to my immediate neighbourhood. A bike should reflect your personal philosophy

“As soon as the winter has passed, I start riding this. We have a little club and the bikes are from the United States and also a friend in Ghent who makes them. It is because we are non-conformists. We do restoration of old cars, we care about the ecology. And I like things that will turn heads when you pass. It is kind of an ego trip. It is a state of mind.” Continue reading →

If there was a choice, it would be a cargo bike over a car

“My boss saw this as a promotion on a website and bought it for me, almost as a gift. We were looking for something to transport stuff and I prefer the bike. I am not lying. Really. Sometimes I am obliged to use the van, but my preference, if possible, is the bike.” Continue reading →
