Brussels cyclists banded together Nov 18 to protest rising climate temperatures – in a two-wheeled protest that amplified the role cycling can have in a city’s responsible future.

As Belgium rolls into Mobility Week, yet again there has been another push by a car-centric voice against bicycles in a debate in Antwerp, Belgium. Somehow complaints against cyclists are taboo. That cyclists flaunt traffic rules and society has to accept it because they are weak and defenceless against cars. Meanwhile, there is less and less safety for cyclists on the road as car drivers are learning, day after day, that they do not have to respect a cyclist, the cycling infrastructures, or the increasing presence of bicycles.
