Frosty rides and the search for gravel

Morning ride with the boss. Changes of season brings cold snaps and great frost. It also brings cold feet. We were exploring off-road locations in and about Brussels for a photo shoot he has planned.

Courier riding means there are always daily miles. But it often means longer joy rides are harder to enjoy.

It really is shocking (in a pleasant sense) how easy it is to find off-road spaces while still inside Brussels. Farmlands are found within the ring road. And, just over the ring road, farmland and painful pavé is always available.

Mud will be pat of the rides, no matter if there is rain on the day.  Riding on wet pave is a skill everybody needs.

Ride like a Belgian.
