The European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF) launched their European Union Cycling Strategy document yesterday at the ‘Big Bike Event’. A bevy of cycling fanatics met at the offices of the Dutch Permanent Representation to the EU, with the discussions moderated by Mark Frequin, the Dutch Director-General for Transport and Mobility inside the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment. He is on the extreme left.

When you get three cycling nations, Holland, Belgium and Luxembourg, to launch a cycling vision, you tend to get caught up in there joy, pleasure and likelihood. Post event, there was a bike ride through Brussels.

Once again, I could not do the tour as I was already on the verge of being late for work. Others did enjoy it, though. Hopefully I will get a chance to read the report in the coming days.
