The city wide car-free day would bring hundreds of bikes to the roads that had seen few kilometres before the big day. There were a dozen or more repair locations dotted across the city where riders could get their chains oiled, tires inflated, wheels trued, punctures repaired.
Cyclo is a major player in keeping city cyclists on the move. They have an annual sale where people can find bikes for as fair price. This year, over 110 bikes went out the door. The generous side of them is, they provide the sale price to the client. No percentage, only whatever it may have cost to get the bike to as roadworthy state.
There are reasons why Car-Free Sunday is a success.
