After years carrying camera equipment, a bike in a bag is a small cross to bear

2/2: “John Pretorius, the owner of Pretorius Bikes, is very legit.  He used to be a pro racer and so he is a good man., The bikes are designed by him and gives it legitimacy straight away. And they look very good and he knows how to set them up as well.  And I had a couple of steel bikes before that were also wonderful. I tested one of these before, just by accident. But this was like a steel bike, just a little bit better. It is stiffer than steel and rides really well. The head tube and bottom bracket are oversized, so there is the stiffness that I have not had on my steel bikes.

“I did skateboard photography for almost ten years, so I always used to haul three bags and almost 75 kgs off equipment with me as a cross to carry in my life. So maybe because I was so used to that, carrying a bike around in bag is not such a big deal. These days I do not carry so much camera equipment. I do trips these days with just a laptop and my basic camera.”
