“There are about 15 of us from Mexico. About 12 of us are racing. We have been here for a week and will stay for one more afterwards. Some of us rode here from Copenhagen. That’s really hard core.”

Notes: World Championships have one key common factor. The international representation. You get to meet people who share your interest, but probably in very different circumstances.

And there  you get to see what they ride, the frame set-up, gearing, the style of decoration. It adds up to immediate conversations. And then, when people are tinkering with their bikes, adjusting their wheels, setting themselves for the event. And I like the nationality on a shirt sleeve.
