The only struggle I have had, apart from learning to carry all that stuff, is that  I have alloy frame and on these streets with all the cobbles, it is very rickety. It is a very light frame, but not when I am carrying all this stuff. It is like a washing machine.”


Notes: Another reason why Belgium looks nice in print. Everybody idealises the pave. The kilometres of hell that are part and parcel of the one-day classic myth of Belgium. And then you ride on it. And you get over that myth rather quickly.

By the time people start reading this entry, I will likely be just about in Paris. A few days with the international messenger community. Wa ha ha ha!!!
