Letting your knees determine your fix obsession

©Barry Sandland/TIMB – Some bikes just want to be ridden fast.

“I bought the frame four or five years ago, and then built it myself. A true track bike but the geometry is little longer than a normal track bike. A bit more comfortable. It is a bike you have so you can go fast. But it is not perfect for cobblestones and things like that. I have a cyclocross bike that I normally use. The maximum I have done on this bike is 120 kilometres. It is a real fixie but I have a front brake. It is for disasters and downhills… and my knees.”
