“I got a snakebite today. They are terrible. I want to be sure it is fixed.”

Photographer’s note: One of the joys of being a regular at your local bike shop is the small extra. This time, we both got the last dregs of the coffee pot divided between us to warm ourselves while we puttered about the shop. He was repairing his wheel. I was wasting a few minutes chatting.

Oh, a snake bit is a two holed puncture, close together, like a snake bite. Riding cobblestones will get you one. The tire flattens on the rim and the air is gone.
