“I like this over the three-wheeled cargo bikes. Have you ever tried to take a corner at the bottom of a hill? And I can get this into the back of my van easily, so I can do all the events. And then we get all the ice-cream, hand-made, from local farm, so.. “

Photographer’s notes: Still at the London Bike Show. This was my first year attending – obligations have always kept me away, but I might make this a regular event. Enough bike stuff, but it is extras that make the show more fun.

And then the unexpected conversations. I have had enough experiences to know I am wrong, yet I still think of the Bullitt bike as an adventurous purchase. Hard-core cargo people. Youth. Older riders will bend to the stability of three-wheelers. .. And I am proven wrong again and again. Two-wheeled cargo bikes are for cyclists.

One of these days, there will be a cargo-bike food fair and I will be there. Meanwhile, I enjoy the small appearances of custom cargo bikes at events. Mostly coffee machines and sandwich haulers.

And then, it was the artisanal ice cream supply. Not just some generic frozen stuff. The blend of alternative transport and hand-made food seems right.
