Dogs, and bikes, are always welcome at climate change marches

When I got to the Climate March in Ostende, the first photo I took was a man walking his dog in front of a banner. You can see it as the first photo in this collection. Then, at the end of the day, another opportunity.

This is, literally, the last photo I took on the day. The same man and his dog coming back along the beach to the starting point.

Just in case anyone is wondering, the dog is a border collie and he delighted in this run. Head down and streaming along behind the bike, he was in heaven. He was well within his comfort zone.

I have been lucky enough to run with collies. They are always stronger than the human being alongside them. They kick into the shepherding mode and often trip into the low slink as they come alongside. I have tried to run them into the ground. The only being struggling was me. The dogs were always standing nearby, wondering if we were going any further.

It might be a level playing field if the human has a bike.
