©Barry Sandland/TIMB – Dawes bikes are for the committed touring cyclist. The brand reeks distance and dust.

“I have travelled about 60,000 kilometres over the past decade. I have been through the United States, Argentina. The tours usually take about a month. In July, I was gone for a month.”

Photographer’s notes: Touring cyclists. They can be like trees. You count tree rings to discover age. Cyclists, look at the odometer and see the distance covered. It can surprise you.
