“Can I ride your bike?”
“Sure, let me adjust the seat.”
Photographer’s notes: This is a swing bike. Look at the centre of the frame and it sits on a pivot, a hinge. It was a fascination seeing the split wheels roll around. A few daring souls asked to take it for a ride. The response was always eager.”
When most bikes are built in Taiwan, there is still some custom work being done in a more fun-driven environment. The swing bike takes a basic frame and severs it, mounts a hinge, and you have a bike where the frame seems to split in two.
