Orange is the new object of desire

“It was a nice moment. My friend has a very similar bike. Orange and the same brand. I was kind of in love with his bike. Well, I was going to the shop and there was a guy who came from the atelier with two bikes and I saw the orange one. And before he went into the  shop, I bought it. I bought it on the street. Just like that.”

Photographer’s notes: I almost flipped the bike I was so caught by the idea of this shot. I only had the camera by accident. There are a few images in the queue, so I have not been looking for new images recently. But this man on the steps with his bike was essential. And speed was  required. As soon as I pulled up in front of him, he was readying to leave.

And again, the blog has it so easy. When you explain the idea of taking photos of people and their bikes, the potential subjects are so eager and enthusiastic. He sat and chatted for a while, we exchanged stories about having vintage bikes and the joys of riding fast, light, steel over the modern varieties.

I might have to start posting a couple of  images each day – at least in the summer. There are just so many great shots of people and their bikes.
