@Barry Sandland/TIMB – Cycling in Newfoundland – roads conditions vary, but are rarely different

“I was in California recently and the roads there are perfect. They don`t even know what a pothole looks like.”

Photographer’s notes: Roads in Newfoundland have some similarities across the provice. Potholes. They litter the roads, and cyclists are well advised to keep their heads up and watch the oncoming road. Then again, that is good advice anywhere. 

Just the penalties for distraction is higher when your wheel disappears into a sinkhole
