“We specialise in refurbishing older bikes, bringing vintage bikes back on the road.”
Photographer’s notes: This shoot started with sighting of a lovely orange bike heading into a bank, the rider attached. I stalked the bike, waiting for the owner to come back out. Unable too stay for a few minutes to do it all, we arranged to meet at his workplace in an hour or so. This would be Bike Paradise. I expected some dispatch point for second hand bikes – a way station of sorts. What I found was, for me, one of the bike shop gems in Brussels. It is a rather huge shop, a massive repair station that is so far different from the small client space up front.
You can find it at 101 Ave Americaine at Les Petits Riens – the big yellow doors. Just head inside to the courtyard.
I like these socially supported bike shops. Affordable repairs and rock bottom prices on the stuff we all want to buy. Finding another venue means I have another neighbourhood to explore.
