“The most important thing for me is, I have a dog. To transport a dog, you have two possibilities. They can be behind you in a trailer. But my dog is about 24 kilos and if he is behind you constantly moving left, right, left, right, then the bike is not stable. And that is the reason why I bought this bike. Because we travel a lot.”
“You and your dog?”
“And my wife.” (insert lots of laughter here)
“He is a hunting dog. He lies there with his head pointing forward. Everything that moves, he can see. And he stays very still. It is very easy.”
Photographer’s notes
: I have a love for Bullit bikes. Well, I love cargo bikes and have a fascination for the two-wheeled versions. But Bullit has my fetish capacity alerted. When this man crossed my path, I set
off chasing him immediately, expecting to find some version of a messenger bike rider.
We struck a common like as soon as he said the entire Bullit bike purchase was for his dog. It was my thinking in the last year or two when I had my mutt. I wanted to get a Bullit bike so he could go with me further and further afield, enjoy the fun with me.
